In 2021-22 Point Cook Cricket Club are planning on running Friday and Saturday teams.
To qualify for this competition, players much have a Date of Birth after or including 1 SEPTEMBER 2006 (exemptions can be granted in special circumstances). The club will have most teams in the Saturday competition. Please note the Friday team is not available to all players and players will be assessed on skill before being selected here.
All Point Cook Cricket Club coaches have a working with children check and a Level 1 accreditation, with some coaches also having a Level 2 accreditation.
During the pre-season, players will be graded based on ability, previous performance and attitude. If during the season, a player's performance warrants it, a player might move teams. Training attendance and a player's attitude will also be taken into consideration for game day.
The batting / bowling order during game day will be on merit and subject to the discretion of the captain and coach. However, where possible an effort will be made to give all an opportunity.
Retirement scores for U15's in a two-day game is 75 runs.

Training times with a commencement date of early September 2021:
Tuesdays 4.30pm - 6pm at Dunnings Road Reserve
Thursdays 4.30pm - 6pm at Dunnings Road Reserve
Generally. games start in early October. Saturday morning games start at 8am and Friday evening games from 5.15pm. Players are expected to arrive at game day at least 30 minutes prior to the start time, to warm up and for parents to help with ground set up. Players will be required to play at home (i.e. Saltwater Reserve / Dunnings Road / Williams Landing) as well as playing away every second week, which will require you to travel to other grounds in the Western region. Assuming no changes are made, U15 games typically consist of a 2 day format, over 2 weeks at the same ground location. There might be some One Day games also scheduled during the season.
Players are required to purchase their own equipment. The club has a limited range of gear that may suit, however COVID-19 restrictions may limit the use of these, in which case players will need to supply their own equipment. Please contact your coach for further information.
Point Cook Cricket Club is a not for profit sporting group and we rely on the support of every player's family to help in the following roles: team manager, scoring, umpiring, club functions, match day helper and fundraising. This year the coach / team manager will prepare a roster for each family itemising your responsibilities each week. Please note that a parent or guardian is required to stay at the game, to supervise your child.
